Bishop Dr Heinrich Bedford-Strohm is the moderator of the World Council of Churches central committee since 2022. He is a German Evangelical Lutheran systematic theologian specializing in social ethics. He has served as Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria and as President of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany.
