Latest issue of International Review of Mission focuses on “reconciliation as a missional task”

The latest issue of the World Council of Churches’ journal International Review of Mission deals with one of the most urgent issues in the world today – reconciliation.

Under the title, “Reconciliation as a Missional Task,” the issue explores the meaning of reconciliation, how it can be understood theologically, and what its missiological dimensions mean for the church’s missional task.

Ecumenical groups gather to prepare for UN climate talks

On the road to the next UN Climate Conference (the 26th Conference of Parties, or COP 26), churches and groups from a range of Christian traditions organised a webinar titled, “Raise Your Voice in Faith for Climate Justice,” on 13 May as part of the Global Action and Prayer for Climate Justice. 

WCC executive committee to convene online 9-13 November

The executive committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC) will meet online 9-13 November to address plans and budget for 2021, review planning for the WCC 11th Assembly in Germany in 2022, and the ongoing implications of COVID-19 on the life and work of the fellowship. The leadership body will also discuss current world situations on which public statements may be needed.
