Storyteller and playwright shares the mind and faith behind her craft

Kristine Greenaway, who has held many roles with the World Council of Churches (WCC) communications team, is a playwright and producer who is currently co-producing, with Nicole Arends, Shadows in the Nooks: Spirited Women in Theatre. She is member of Alumnae Theatre, a nonprofit theatre in Toronto, Canada that was created more than 100 years ago and is the oldest women-run theatre company in North America.

United Church of Canada trailblazer Rev. Dr Lois Wilson dies, age 97

With great sadness, the United Church of Canada announced the death of Rev. Dr Lois M. Wilson, the denomination’s 28th  moderator, and the first woman to fill the role. She faithfully served as moderator from 1980 to 1982. Wilson died in hospital in Fredericton, NB, on 13 September. She was 97 years old.

Global institute convenes leaders in Kenya to reimagine a just economy

From 19-30 August, 27 church and youth leaders from 23 countries gathered in Limuru, Kenya, for the 7th edition of the Ecumenical School on Governance, Economics, and Management for an Economy of Life (GEM School). The participants included church leaders, pastors, theological students, finance, economics, and ecological justice experts.
