On 4 October, the World Council of Churches (WCC) will join global faith leaders and youth in a prayer service to close the Season of Creation. Themed “To Hope and Act with Creation,” with a focus on the Fossil Fuel Phase-Out Initiative, this youth-led event calls on faith communities to unite in prayer and action to address the climate crisis.

As part of the Summit of the Future Action Days on 21 September, the World Council of Churches (WCC) calls on churches, individuals, and organizations worldwide to endorse the Faith for Non-Proliferation Treaty. As part of this year's Season of Creation, the World Council of Churches (WCC) will co-host a high-level webinar on 10 September. This event will bring together faith leaders, government officials, and climate advocates to discuss the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty (FFNPT) and its role in securing a just energy transition.

On 1 September, the Season of Creation 2024 will begin with a global online prayer event, bringing together Christians from diverse traditions to pray for the wellbeing of creation. This year’s theme, "To hope and act with Creation," highlights the moral imperative for faith communities to take decisive action against the environmental crisis.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) joined a global audience, including faith leaders, environmental advocates, and community members worldwide, to launch the Season of Creation 2024 celebration guide, marking the beginning of the campaign to be culminated in September and October.

The official Celebration Guide for the Season of Creation 2024 will be launched online on 5 June at 3 pm CEST. The live streaming in English will be available on YouTube. Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French interpretations will be available via Zoom for registered participants.
