Registration open for 11th Annual Symposium on Religion and International Affairs

The World Council of Churches (WCC), in collaboration with UN agencies and interfaith partners, invites global faith-based actors, civil society leaders, policymakers, and international affairs experts to register for the 11th Annual Symposium on the Role of Religion and Faith-Based Organizations in International Affairs, to be held on hybrid mode in New York City on 3 April.

Ambassador Amira Hanania, a Palestinian diplomat and media veteran, serves as the representative of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Europe. A Christian from Bethlehem, she has dedicated her career to journalism and diplomacy. Recently, she completed a documentary titled “Via Dolorosa: The Path of Sorrows,” which sheds light on the history of Christians in Palestine and the challenges they face.

Communique of the World Council of Churches and the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue meeting, Rome, 17-20 February 2025

The World Council of Churches Office of Interreligious Dialogue and Cooperation, and the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, during an annual meeting held in Rome from 17-20 February, reviewed the impact of past joint initiatives, took note of interreligious activities by the respective entities, explored future joint projects, and laid the groundwork for the 50th anniversary of collaboration between the two offices in 2027.
