Cuando el papa León XIV presidió la misa de inauguración de su pontificado el 18 de mayo, instó a todo el mundo a caminar hacia Dios y a amarse los unos a los otros, un mensaje que resonó profundamente entre los líderes del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) que asistieron tanto a la misa como a una audiencia ecuménica privada con el papa León el 19 de mayo.

Mai teilgenommen haben, tief aus dem Herzen sprach.

Au cours de la messe d’inauguration qu’il a présidée le 18 mai, le pape Léon XIV a exhorté le monde à cheminer vers Dieu et à aimer ses semblables. Un message qui a fait vibrer le cœur des dirigeants du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) venus assister à la célébration avant une audience privée œcuménique le 19 mai.

As Pope Leo XIV presided over the Mass of Inauguration on 18 May, he urged the world to walk toward God and to love one another—a message that resonated deeply with the World Council of Churches (WCC) leaders who attended the mass as well as a private ecumenical audience with Pope Leo on 19 May.

From 14-17 May, an international symposium on Nicaea is taking place in Bucharest, organized by the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Faculty of Orthodox Theology "Justinian the Patriarch” University of Bucharest.  

Der Vorsitzende des Zentralausschuss des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), Bischof Prof. Dr. Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, und ÖRK-Generalsekretär Pastor Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay werden am 18. Mai auf dem Petersplatz an der Messe zum Pontifikatsbeginn von Papst Leo XIV. teilnehmen.
