Students in Bangladesh share challenges and stories with WCC

As World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay continued his visit in Bangladesh, on 12 April, he visited the National Council of Churches in Bangladesh offices in Dhaka, meeting with the general secretary Rev. David Das and staff members.

The church as the healing community

In January 2025, I spent time with churches in Bolivia making an appeal for the church to become a healing community. For countries like Bolivia, with several health problems and lack of access to basic healthcare needs, the divine calling and pastoral care mandate for health and healing is unavoidable.

EAPPI programme coordinator reflects on faith, action—and hope

Iskandar Majlaton is local programme coordinator for the World Council of Churches (WCC) Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI). Operating in extraordinary circumstances that include the start of the war between Israel and Palestine that began in October 2023, the continued occupation of Palestinian land, and the increasing insecurity and violence that threatens the region. 

Registration open for 11th Annual Symposium on Religion and International Affairs

The World Council of Churches (WCC), in collaboration with UN agencies and interfaith partners, invites global faith-based actors, civil society leaders, policymakers, and international affairs experts to register for the 11th Annual Symposium on the Role of Religion and Faith-Based Organizations in International Affairs, to be held on hybrid mode in New York City on 3 April.
