2025—Une année oecuménique le long du Pèlerinage de justice, de réconciliation et d’unité

Le COE et la communauté oecuménique au sens large, aspirant à renouveler la quête d’unité des Églises et de toute l’humanité, s’inspirent de deux dates anniversaires clés qui seront célébrées en 2025: 

- Le 1 700e anniversaire du premier Concile oecuménique à Nicée en 325
- Le 100e anniversaire de la Conférence universelle du christianisme pratique à Stockholm en 1925

Cette brochure présente les activités et manifestations du COE qui commémoreront ces deux événements, mais aussi un certain nombre d'autres commémorations importantes.

2025 – An Ecumenical Year on the Pilgrimage of Justice, Reconciliation, and Unity

The ecumenical fellowship find inspiration in two major anniversaries that fall in 2025, the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council at Nicaea in 325 and the 100th anniversary of the Universal Christian Conference on Life and Work in Stockholm in 1925.

This brochure highlights WCC activities and events that will commemorate these two events, but also a number of other significant anniversaries.

Visiting Ghana, WCC president from North America presents “Ahead of her Time” awards and recognition of Achimota Secondary School

Rev. Dr Angelique Keturah Walker-Smith, World Council of Churches (WCC) president from North America, visited Ghana to present the Ahead of Her Time awards and the related book to renowned women leaders, past and present. She also had opportunity to visit the Achimota Secondary School which contributed to the ecumenical and leadership formation of these leaders.

“Transformative Spiritualitäten für den Pilgerweg der Gerechtigkeit und des Friedens” now available in German

“Transformative Spiritualities for the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace,” a selection of reflections from Indigenous perspectives to women’s voices, from black communities ́ to campesino/as ́struggles, from specific Christian traditions to sister faiths,” is now also available in German as Transformative Spiritualitäten für den Pilgerweg der Gerechtigkeit und des Friedens.
