Globethics, WCC collaborate to create innovative learning environments

Prof. Dr Amélé Ekué is academic dean of the Geneva office of Globethics. She took time to reflect on how the collaboration  between the World Council of Churches (WCC) and Globethics works to create innovative learning environments that are values-driven toward more peaceful communities. She also reflects on the Global Ecumenical Theological Institute (GETI) 2025, which will take place 12-29 October during the Sixth World Conference on Faith and Order, near Alexandria, Egypt, under the theme Where now for visible unity?”

WCC communications in 2024: expanding messages of unity across the world

Communication from the World Council of Churches (WCC) in 2024, through storytelling via many channels, fostered unity in unprecedented ways across the world. From the largest global prayer gathering, to 2.3 million engagements on social media, to large numbers of young visitors both in-person and online, WCC communications connected with more people, in more ways than ever.

Pilgrimage to knowledge: visit to Egypt builds bridges

During a recent visit to Egypt with the aim of exploring both its interreligious and intercultural history, Prof. Angeliki Ziaka, World Council of Churches programme executive for Interreligious Dialogue and Cooperation, said that her visit to Cairo served as a gateway to deeper exploration of the city's rich heritage and the search for lasting bridges, enriched by Egypt's unique cultural and spiritual richness.

WCC shares insights on Nicaea with Partners in Global Mission

World Council of Churches (WCC) programme director for Unity, Mission, and Ecumenical Formation Rev. Dr Kuzipa Nalwamba shared a presentation on the Ecumenical Council at Nicaea, and its 1700th anniversary to be commemorated in 2025, with Partners in Global Mission (Anglican Communion).
