The youth delegation is undertaking a peace pilgrimage in Italy and Switzerland from 29 April to 11 May. Their pilgrimage is focusing on learning the historical journey of Christian faith from the Reformation onwards and reflecting on contemporary issues of peace, with a particular emphasis on the theme of “Peace and Reconciliation” as they travel through Lausanne and Geneva.
In this context, they visited the WCC as a highlight of their pilgrimage, discussing the Council’s longstanding commitment and witness for peace and justice worldwide.
The group dialogued on not only peace-related initiatives, and health and healing, with WCC staff but also reflected on meaningful peace symbols and artwork within the Ecumenical Centre.
