Staff Planning Days are a unique moment when staff sets aside regular work and gathers as a community to strengthen collaboration and establish priorities for the year ahead as we continue to implement the 2023-2030 WCC Strategic Plan. Staff Planning Days normally take place in February and October. This year, instead of holding Staff Planning days in the Ecumenical Centre, the meetings are taking place at Bossey.
The focus is preparing for the Ecumenical Year 2025, and on continuing to develop the Pilgrimage of Justice, Reconciliation, and Unity as a direction, an invitation, and a methodology to strengthen companionship.
Staff will also share best practices in making WCC events “pilgrimage encounters” that nurture the fellowship through sustained solidarity and action. They will learn more about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the WCC and the fellowship.
As staff acquire skills and knowledge that strengthen collaboration, they will also build a sense of togetherness in the staff community and with the Bossey students. “It is a time to pray, reflect, learn and work together as we serve the WCC fellowship, ecumenical partners and the world at large,” said WCC general secretary, Rev Prof Dr Jerry Pillay.
