The King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance advances the values of coexistence, love, and respect for all religions, building upon deep-rooted cultural and historical openness of Bahraini society. The center promotes global peace, mutual understanding, and respect for all religions and cultures by highlighting the universal principles that connect diverse civilizations.

Aldosari presented the work of the center and invited the WCC to be a new partner for collaboration on coexistence in the Middle East.

Pillay presented the work of the WCC with a special focus on the Ecumenical Decade of Climate Justice Action, education, formation, youth, the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey, and interreligious dialogue.

“I highly appreciate the work you are doing on coexistence and dialogue with a special focus on education,” said Pillay. “I have heard that from the media. The WCC warmly welcomes and looks forward to exploring ways of collaboration.”
