Geissbühler’s team is responsible for promoting peace and human rights as part of the Swiss Federal Council's foreign policy strategy. His work relates to many conflicts in various regions of the world.
Discussions focused on the mutual work and vision between the ambassador, the WCC, and the Protestant Church in Switzerland, covering a wide range of conflict and trouble-torn areas in the global context, and seeking ways in which collaborative work can be engaged in the common endeavour for just peace and reconciliation in the world.
Keeping with the theme, “Churches and politics meet,” Pillay and Famos also visited the Federal Palace, which houses the Swiss Federal Assembly and the Federal Council.
