A set of social media cards with images and quotes from prayers are newly available from the World Council of Churches, to inspire and share during the upcoming World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel, which begins 20 September.
“Loving God, we will not give up,” reads a prayer card. ‘We will not stop hoping, loving, resisting until your justice prevails, until peace is real.”
The week aims to encourage people of faith to pray for, and work towards, an end to Israeli oppression and allowing both Palestinians and Israelis to live in peace.
In addition to prayer cards, other resources—including a liturgy, prayers, stories, and reflections, are available for download.
