They discussed the current situation in the Holy Land and planning for a meeting of the WCC executive committee in the Holy Land in 2027.
“I am grateful for the collaboration of Ambassador Hanania in various ways, from the meeting of the WCC executive committee in 2027, to an event in the UN on Via Dolorosa, to an event yesterday evening in Geneva gathering over a hundred locals to learn more about the current situation in the Holy Land,” said Pillay, who provided an update on the work of the WCC during the meeting.
The WCC general secretary was accompanied by Carla Khijoyan, WCC programme executive for Peacebuilding in the Middle East.
