Commission of the Churches on International Affairs (CCIA) of the World Council of Churches will hold its 60th meeting and the Life and Work Centenary conference on 18-22 May 2025 in Athens, Greece.

Organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC) through its Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel, the campaign will highlight local voices candidly communicating about the realities of daily life under occupation and how violations of international law affect individuals, families, and communities.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) Commission on Climate Justice and Sustainable Development, in collaboration with the Faiths for Biodiversity coalition and the ecumenical Season of Creation team, invites you to a critical webinar addressing the unprecedented ecological crisis. With species extinction rates up to 1,000 times higher than natural levels and approximately one million animal and plant species threatened, this event will explore the moral and spiritual dimensions of biodiversity loss and present pathways for faith communities to take meaningful action through prayer and transformative repentance.

Armenian Heritage Conference, hosted by World Council of Churches in collaboration with Protestant Church in Switzerland, will take place in Bern, Switzerland on 27 – 28 May 2025.

In the lead-up to the WCC Faith and Order World Conference under the theme “Where Now for Visible Unity?”, Faith and Order, in collaboration with Christian World Communions, is organizing a series of webinars to explore key theological, ecclesiological, and missional questions relevant to contemporary Christian unity. 

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, held worldwide on 18-25 January (Northern hemisphere) and on 1 - 8 June (Southern hemisphere), will draw together churches across the globe under the theme “Do you believe this?” (John 11:26).

On 1 June, 5 pm local time at the Berner Münster in Bern, Switzerland, Ecumenical Vespers will be a celebration of joy and unity in faith.

To mark World Hunger Day, observed 28 May annually, a collaborative webinar on 3 June, hosted by the World Council of Churches, Caritas Internationalis, and World Vision International will address global hunger challenges. The session will provide participants with insights into the current political landscape and funding environment, while showcasing innovative faith-led initiatives that are making a fundamental difference in communities.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) invites young people from across the globe to apply for the 2025 Stewards Programme, scheduled to take place from 14-26 June 2025. This exciting programme offers a unique opportunity for youth ages 18-30 to engage with the global ecumenical movement and actively contribute to the work of the WCC. The deadline for applications is 30 November 2024.
